Day Habilitation activities and supports provided are intended to help the person served gain a variety of skills, learn appropriate behavior, exercise personal choice, and increase levels of independence. Activities include community education and safety skills training, and may include volunteer and retirement activities as well. JDT services also provide opportunities for persons served to build personal relationships and natural supports. Overture only provides JDT services away from the persons served home and in community-based settings or typical places of employment in order to promote a more realistic real-world and inclusive experience.
